5 Caravan Touring Routes in Yangtze River Delta Released with 2 Pilot Routes in Place

According to Shanghai Morning Post, the “Development Outline of Caravan Tourism in Yangtze River Delta” was issued by Dao Shuming, Chairman of Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration, in the 2012 Yangtze River Delta Tourism Cooperation Joint Conference, held in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province on November 9th, 2012. At the conference, the first batch of 5 motorhome tourist routes in the Yangtze River Delta was released and the “Cooperative Agreement on Jointly Propelling the Development of Leisure Tourism in the Yangtze River Delta” was signed by relevant authorities in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces as well as Shanghai. The five motorhome tourist routes form enthralling round trips by combining major unique and representative tourist attractions in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces as well as Shanghai.

2 Pilot Routes in Place

Route 1 “Enchanting Trip to Explore Seductive Nature”: Shanghai - Hangzhou (West Lake, Xixi Wetland, Daqing Valley) - Lin'an (Tianmu Mountain, West Zhejiang Grand Canyon) - Huangshan (Hongcun, Xidi, Huashan Mystical Grottos) - Shangrao (Wuyuan, Sanqing Mountain) - Jingdezhen

Route 2 “Soul-Soothing Trip in Picturesque Chiang-nan Waterside”: Shanghai - Suzhou (Zhouzhuang, Tongli, Suzhou gardens) - Wuxi (Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, Lingshan Grand Buddha) - Zhenjiang (Nanshan Mountain, Baohua Mountain) - Yangzhou (Slender West Lake) - Nanjing (Tangshan Hot Springs, Qinhuai River) - Wuhu (Maren Mountain Scenic Area) - Xuancheng (Tai Ji Cave) - Huzhou (Nanxun Ancient Town) - Jiaxing (Wuzhen, Xitang) and other places.
